Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres

Yellow Bentines care.

Last week we handed over the £718 we made from our YB Winter Ceilidh to the lovely Kirsty at the Maggie's Cancer Caring Centre in Glasgow.

Here's a picture of us handing over the cheque and a few pictures of the ceilidh.

The first Beanscene gig o’ ’08

The first gig we ever had this year was yesterday, a couple of hours ago. Thanks to everyone who came and listened and clapped. For me the evenings highlights were:

I met
John Hamilton, he’s a really nice guy

The Beanscene Goddesses who bought T shirts and brought us food and drink

The audience (who were smaller in numbers than when we got there – our hardcore Ayr fan club must of missed this one. They did make up for it though by clapping along to Another Day (red palms all round.))

Next up, same again. Beanscene Ayr 26
th Jan.

It’s late and I should go to bed, but I still have a full glass of wine.

The YB Winter Ceilidh

Thanks to everyone who came along to the YELLOW BENTINES Winter Ceilidh. It was a fun packed night with dancing, dining and drinking. I’m still waiting to hear how much cash we raised for Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre’s here’s hoping it’s a lot!

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year & Thanks.

Well that’s the end of 2007 but never mind there’s a whole new year just starting and it promises to be just as much fun as the one we’ve just lived through. This seems like a good time for me to thank all the YB fans that have supported us not just in 2007 but also since the band started. So thanks.

Hopefully in the next few months we’ll get some new songs recorded for your listening pleasure.

All the best,
